News Article: Outdoor Theater Open For Busibess - Is Located Three Miles East - Owosso movie fans can now enjoy their favorite screen stars under the the stars. The new Skyway Outdoor Theater on M-21, three miles east of Owosso, had it's opening Saturday evening. The theater is equipped with the latest RCA in-car speakers and equipment. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights the Skyway will feature, "June Bride" a comedy starring Bette Davis and Robert Montgomery. Shows start at about 8:30 p.m. nightly and there will be two showings. Besides the feature attraction, the bill includes a newsreel and cartoon. Prior to the opening of the Skyway, Owosso people had to go to Flint to enjoy their movies outdoors. (The Owosso Argus-Press 5/31/49)

News Article: Skyway Is Sold - Corunna - The Purchase of Skyway Enterprises Inc. has been announced by Charles H. Kendall of Livonia and W. Dean Gersell of Saginaw. Included in the purchase are the drive-in theater, the apartment building and the refreshment stand. The new owners said they will move here June 10 and will retain all present employees and policies. Mrs. Rosebush plans to live on Walnut Street in Corunna. (The Owosso Argus-Press 5/17/68)

Update: In the early 80''s my brother used to baby sit for the family that lived in the living quarters at the base of the screen. Both parents worked in the drive in. I remember going with him a couple of times, it was fun watching the cars come and go. (Waterwinterwonderland.com/Jeff 11/26/07)
